Christmas classics are popular this time of year and Minot’s Studio X is putting its own twist on a favorite with a production of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss.

“The Grinch story is so much fun overall, Dr. Seuss has made such an awesome world. It’s fun, the characters are all so unique and a little quirky and it really allows kids to explore their alternate sides.” , said Joshua Wise. , artistic director of Studio X.

The timeless classic interpreted by Studio X is fantastic.

“The Grinch, he’s a very creative character. He’s got a heart but he doesn’t really like showing it and he just wants to be liked,” said Sophia Svystunova, who plays the Grinch.

Throughout the story, the kindness of little Cindy Lou Who shows itself.

“She tries to be nice and give gifts and a lot of things, and sometimes a lot of love to the Grinch, all the time,” said Kerrigan Mize, who plays Cindy Lou Who.

With two months of practice twice a week, you won’t want to miss this sight that will surely make you cringe.

“It’s a really fun show, and it’s really funny, and I’m so happy to do it,” Svystunova said.

With over 110 students and many different types of dancing, you will find that the true meaning of Christmas is truly within sight.

You can see the show on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. as well as Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.
