Editor’s Notes: Brooklyn-based LQQK Studio has partnered with Italian clothing brand Paul & Shark on a twenty-six piece collection, entirely made in Italy, and this is Paul & Shark’s second collaboration in its history. .
Comprised of jackets, overalls, sweaters, graphic tees, polo shirts, sweatpants, caps and more, the collaboration explores the nautical inspiration that has always been present in the designs of Paul & Shark and LQQK Studio’s interest in innovation.
The collection’s key jacket and bib are made from Typhoon 20,000, Paul & Shark’s signature waterproof and windproof fabric, while the graphic t-shirts incorporate the rich history of Paul & Shark imagery, while LQQK Studio inverted the colors and used its expertise in screen printing. Additionally, one of the most notable jackets is rendered in the colors of the Italian flag to commemorate its heritage, while the co-branding is evident in all the pieces as well.
The extremely limited edition collection will be split into two smaller capsules and will only be sold at select retailers.
On February 22, the entire collection will be launched at Procell NY first, while global debuts at select resellers will follow on February 25 at Need Supply, SSENSE, Slam Jam Milan, Dover Street Market Ginza, Bodega (Boston & LA) and more. Go to the Paul & Shark website now for more information.
