The EP was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London after one of their demos was found in the hands of a studio sound engineer.

“This EP represents our transition to a more innovative and progressive sound, avoiding rock conventions that really tire,” says MARLA.

“We recorded these songs before we started working on our current album, we hope that will prepare people for it.”

Formed in 2012 at the initiative of their original bassist, MARLA was inspired by the early influences of Foals and Jack White.

Alongside the EP, MARLA is currently recording an ambitious new album scheduled for release at the end of 2019.
