London’s Abbey Road studios were Sir Cliff Richard’s natural choice to announce his latest album.

Rise Up will be released in November and Sir Cliff, 77, said the title reflected the turbulent times he had faced over the past four years.

Last month he won £210,000 in damages from the BBC for the invasion of his privacy in 2014 when it filmed a raid on his home by police investigating false allegations of sexual abuse.

The 16-song album features reworkings of four of his classic tracks, including Devil Woman and Miss You Nights, and also sees Sir Cliff reunite with Olivia Newton-John.

A limited edition vinyl single of the title track will be released next month.
