UTICA – The Catalyst Group, the Young Professionals branch of the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, has donated nearly $ 7,000 to the Fellowship Youth Freedom Partnerships program.

The money was raised at the Catalyst Group 7th Annual Jingle Jam, held at Bagg’s Square Brewing Company on December 2nd. like the return of the dancing Santa Claus contest, and a lousy sweater contest.

Between Jingle Jam and other individual donations, the Catalyst group has raised nearly $ 7,000. The Young Scholars Liberty Partnerships program is a multi-year collaborative project, established in 1993 with Utica College and the Utica City School District, to motivate diverse and talented students with the potential to stay in school, d ” obtain a state diploma with advanced designation and obtain post-secondary education.

The $ 7,000 was the highest ever raised in a single year by the Catalyst Group. Since its launch in 2015, the Jingle Jam has raised nearly $ 20,000 in total for area teens.

The mission of the Catalyst Group is to provide the spark to engage young professionals with the Grand Utica Chamber of Commerce, providing members with a place to develop personally and professionally through a variety of opportunities. Young professionals under the age of 40 who are employed by a Chamber member are automatically members of Catalyst.
