(Pocket-lint) – Famous Abbey Road Studios, home of the Beatles, have launched their first-ever mobile app in the form of Topline. It was designed and developed with creative young musicians in mind, to help them record their ideas in one convenient place.
Abbey Road worked with up-and-coming songwriters and producers from across London to understand what features they wanted from an app and from that insight Topline was born.
Song ideas can be saved in the app, whether for vocals or instruments, and each track can be given its own name so you won’t forget which track is which. Alternatively, you can import audio tracks you’ve created elsewhere, then record vocals over them using Topline.
You can add lyrics, tags and images to any of your projects as they grow and files can be imported from many sources: Mail, Cloud, Google Drive and Dropbox, and can be shared with friends and family via email.
Finding tracks you have saved can be done quickly and easily using the maps feature as it records the locations where you have saved various tracks. If you know you were at home when you recorded vocals, or in a studio when you recorded backing instrumentals, Topline will have it saved.
