Abbey Road Studios and DHL announce accelerated talent search sessions

DHL and Abbey Road Studios have announced details of their new “FAST-TRACK” Sessions talent search.

The competition aims to discover and support grassroots musical talent by providing access to professional recording experience and music industry experts. Three entrants will be selected to record at London’s iconic Abbey Road studios, where The Beatles, Amy WinehouseFrank Ocean and many others have all recorded some of their best work.

The chosen artists will complete a two-day recording process with guidance from Hannah V, a record producer and songwriter who has worked alongside Stormzy, JP Cooper, Yola and many more, as well as a Abbey Road expert team.

DHL FAST-TRACK is a music initiative created in conjunction with Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music entertainment company, and aims to shine a light on emerging up-and-coming artists, with both companies offering their local and global expertise to support and elevate the musicians. .

DHL aims to support the hottest emerging artists by accelerating their journey from local to globalhelping to connect their distinctive sound with audiences around the world through unforgettable musical moments.

To apply, artists must record a one-minute video performance of an original piece of music and post the video publicly on their Instagram, tagging @dhlexpress and using the hashtag #FASTTRACK Sessions. The winning artists will be selected by a panel including Hannah V as well as NME’s Editor for New Music, Thomas Smith, who will judge the entries on both the performance of their work and their future potential.

The competition is open to UK artists and bands only, and artists must be available to attend recording sessions between 26 and 29 April 2022. Entries open 28 March and close 10 April and all participants must be 18 years of age or older.
